Hey friend
Let me tell you about a story of a high school kid who got rejected by all the NFL scouts in the USA
He was so adamant to play American Football...
He went and tried out in Canada, and after a year, he got thrown out of the team for not being good enough.
He had to call his parents to pick him up, as he only had 7 dollars in his pocket.
Not enough to get him home.
On paper, a total loser, but today we all know him as...
Dwyane 'The Rock' Johnson.
See, adversity is a funny thing; it makes your life so hard in the moment that you just feel like quitting.
But it is such a prerequisite for an epic story, take any individual you admire.
A big reason you admire them is that they went through adversity and overcame a challenge.
See, I talk about this with you because in my youth, all I wanted to be was a professional footballer.
It didn't work out.
But somehow I did not stop training, I just liked it, and I showed up every day.
Not because I had a plan B, but because training just kept me sane.
Years later, it got me into Pro Rugby
Top league. (Bundesliga 1)
Germany.
I didn't get what I set out for.
I got something else entirely.
Something I couldn't have planned.
When I think of why it happened, the only explanation I have is that I kept moving.
See, most people who feel stuck aren't lacking talent or time.
They're waiting to feel ready.
Or they are convinced that they are already too far behind to start.
You're not behind.
You're just in the middle of something you can't fully see yet.
The only real mistake is standing still.
Keep walking.
Your biggest fan,
Abi
